IPL 2019 RCB vs RR Match 49 | FanFight Fantasy Cricket Preview

RCB vs RRThe in-form Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on the under-performing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in match 49 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, in Bengaluru
RR led by Steve Smith will be looking to outpower RCB, in a desperate attempt to win every game from here on, in order to still have a chance to qualify for the playoffs. RCB, on the other hand, stand no chance now, after their defeat against the Delhi Capitals. RCB did show some signs of improvement by winning back-to-back 3 games. However, that was not enough, as they had to win every match to keep their hopes alive.

THE STORY SO FAR…

RR is coming into this match after back-to-back victories against KKR & SRH. They will look to continue their momentum and hope to deliver similar performances. However, the absence of Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes will hurt them badly and can be costly for them. To further add to their woes, Jos Butler, who had been giving stand out performances for RR, also had to return to England to prepare for the upcoming World Cup. But what’s looking good for them is the fact that Ajinkya Rahane is finally seeing himself scoring runs.
Royal Challengers Bangalore, though are technically out of the tournament, might still be hoping to make it to the playoffs with 12-points. Though it is a super-optimistic approach, for that to happen, RCB need to win both the remaining matches and that too with a bigger margin to level up their run-rate. To do so, RCB will need to fix their middle-order, as Moeen Ali has departed to England for the World Cup and their previous combination of Shivam Dube, Heinrich Klaasen and Gurkeerat Singh did not really work for them.

PITCH REPORT

There is no doubt that the pitch in Bangalore is a paradise for the batsmen. Apart from the minimal assistance to the spinners, the pitch has been ruthless to the bowlers. On this pitch, bowlers cannot afford the slimmest of errors. Scores exceeding 190 too, haven’t helped the teams succeed. The team that wins the toss should elect to bat first, considering the pitch has been kind to the team batting first so far in this tournament.

WEATHER REPORT

Weather in Bangalore is a major cause of worry. The forecast states that there is a possibility of rains from 4 pm to 12 am. Hence, the chances of the game being washed out are plenty. Although this may not impact the RCB much, given they are already eliminated from the tournament, it is a big cause of concern for RR. If rains wash away tomorrow’s match, it will essentially eliminate RR from the tournament too. The temperature during the evening will hover around the 25-degree mark. Humidity is expected to reach a staggering 80 per cent during the course of the match.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Rajasthan Royals have won the majority of the 20 games they played against Royal Challengers Bangalore. RR have won 10 games, while KKR have 8 wins to their name. The difference in winning ratio is mostly unaffected when comparing the stats specifically at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. RR have won 4 games, with RCB winning the remaining 2 games, out of the total 6 games played in RCB’s home ground.

TEAM COMBINATION

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE

Umesh Yadav may have to make way for the debutant, left-arm pacer, Khejroliya. Marcus Stoinis has been one of the most consistent players for RCB. He has scored 211 runs at an average of 70.33 in the tournament so far and the team will expect him to continue in the same form. However, it will be RCB’s match-saving trio, Parthiv, Virat and ABD, who will need to deliver for RCB to clinch a victory.

Probable XI
Parthiv Patel (WK), Virat Kohli (C), AB de Villiers, Shivam Dube, Heinrich Klaasen, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Marcus Stoinis, Washington Sundar, Umesh Yadav/Kulwant Khejroliya, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal

RAJASTHAN ROYALS

The Royals might continue with the same side, as from the previous match. Riyan Parag and Steve Smith have managed the middle order to perfection. Jaydev Unadkat, Varun Aaron and Oshane Thomas have been strong forces in the bowling department.

Probable XI
Ajinkya Rahane, Liam Livingstone, Sanju Samson (WK), Steve Smith (C), Ashton Turner, Riyan Parag, Stuart Binny, Shreyas Gopal, Jaydev Unadkat, Varun Aaron, Oshane Thomas

VITAL STATS

Two RCB batsmen are in the list of top 10 contenders of the Orange Cap. AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli are at number 7 and 8 on the list with 431 and 423 runs respectively. From the other side, RR, one batsman made to the list; Ajinkya Rahane, with 391 runs is at number 10 on the list.
In the bowling department, both teams have 1 representation each in the list of Top 10 Wicket Takers. Yuzvendra Chahal from RCB, with 16 wickets and Shreyas Gopal from RR, with 15 wickets, are at number 3 and 5 on the list.

PROBABLE TOP PERFORMERS

Virat Kohli- Royal Challengers Bangalore
Liam Livingstone- Rajasthan Royals

IPL 2019 SRH vs KXIP Match 48 | FanFight Fantasy Cricket Preview

SRH vs KXIP: We are in the final week of the leagues’ stage and as yet, two teams, CSK and DC, have managed to confirm their berths in the playoffs. The race for the remainder of the 2 spots is intensifying; a testament of the same was the recent game between KKR and MI, where both teams together, put up 430 runs on the board. It was evident that neither of the teams was ready to give up. Fans can expect such power-packed games through this week. The match 48, being a crucial game both for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), could become a stage for some fancy fireworks. This game would help the winning team move one step closer to the top-four spot, while for the losing side, their playoff dreams may turn bleak.

THE STORY SO FAR…

Until two weeks ago, it seemed impossible to stop the SRH team from reaching the semis. The opening pair of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow made it their mission to dismantle opposition’s bowling attack, one game after another. SRH handsomely won 3 out of their first 4 games. Cut to two weeks later, they managed just 5 wins in 11 matches and are struggling for a space in the playoffs. SRH still have 3 matches to go in the league stage; if they win one match and lose the rest, their chances of progressing to next round will depend on KXIP and RR’s losing all their matches. Hence, tomorrow’s game will impact SRH in bettering their chances and also spoiling the party for KXIP.
Similar to SRH’s narrative, even KXIP looked strong towards the start of the tournament and eventually went weak, as the tournament has progressed. This now seems like a trend for KXIP, who scripted an almost similar story last year too. With both SRH and KXIP pocketing 10pts, this win can help KXIP further their chances into the playoffs while making it more challenging for SRH.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

SRH and KXIP have faced each other in 13 games so far, and SRH have won 69% of all games. KXIP managed to win just 4 out of the total 13 games, while SRH won the remainder 9 matches. On Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, SRH won 5 out of the total 6 games, they played there against KXIP.

PITCH REPORT

The Hyderabad pitch underwent a major makeover after the initial few games. What started off as a dream pitch for every batsman, steadily turned into a slow one, as the tournament progressed. SRH has been very strong on their home ground and have comfortably won their last two matches there. Dew has played a major role in this ground, making run-getting easy for the team that bats second. Tomorrow should be no exception; hence the team winning the toss should elect to bowl first. The team that bats first should eye a total of 160 to 170 to put up a good fight.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

Hyderabad is expected to be sultry through the day. At the peak of the day, temperatures are expected to reach 40 Degrees Celsius, which should drop to 30 degrees around the time match commences, at 8 PM. The weather is expected to be very humid around the evening. No rain is in the forecast.

TEAM COMBINATIONS

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Although SRH’s performance in the last game wasn’t very impressive, the team shall be retained as no player on bench seems worthy enough to fidget with the playing XI. The in-form, Manish Pandey will play a crucial role in the game. He will need to stay longer at the crease, given SRH’s middle order’s poor performance through the tournament. The team might rely on Yusuf Pathan to do some power hitting in the lower order.
Probable XI:
David Warner, Kane Williamson (c), Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Shakib Al Hasan, Deepak Hooda, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul, Khaleel Ahmed.

Kings XI Punjab

KXIP have very experimental with their selection in this season. They have been trading players in and out, throughout the season so far. However, with playoffs so close, it may not be a smart decision to make rampant changes to the playing side. The team might bring in Sam Curran in this game, costing Hardus Viljoen his spot in the team.
Probable XI:
Chris Gayle, KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, David Miller, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Mandeep Singh, Ravi Ashwin (c), Sam Curran, Murugan Ashwin, Ankit Rajpoot, Mohammed Shami.

VITAL STATS

Both SRH and KXIP have 2 players in the list of Top 10 contenders of the Orange Cap. The list is topped by SRH batsman, David Warner with 611 runs, scored at a strike rate of 143.76. His teammate and opening partner, Jonny Bairstow joins him 2 positions later, at the fourth spot. Gayle and Rahul from KXIP have claimed fifth and sixth spot on this list with 444 and 441 runs respectively.

PROBABLE TOP PERFORMERS

Kane Williamson – SRH
KL Rahul – KXIP

IPL 2019 RR vs SRH Match 45 | FanFight Fantasy Cricket Preview

RR vs SRH: 3 teams are tied at 8 points, 2 teams at 10, 2 at 14 & Chennai Super Kings have a two-point lead at 16. RR have won their 3 off their last 5 games while SRH have won 5 out of 10. The Orange army travel to the pink city of Jaipur where they’d like to strengthen their position on an extremely tight points table. They were beaten in their previous game against CSK & they take on a confident RR legion who seem to have gotten back to winning ways under Steve Smith.
A lot of big names will not feature in this fixture. Rajasthan Royals will be without Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer & Ben Stokes who’ve returned to England for international duties. Jonny Bairstow has gone back to his country & SRH will miss his incredible ball-striking form. Can the two teams make it to the playoffs?

RR HAVE TO WIN ALL 3

The points table has sprung to life out of nowhere. RR are winning games, RCB have won their last 3 matches & KKR just can’t win games. The Royals are still in contention to qualify for the playoffs but they’ve got to win their remaining fixtures with good margins. Talking about margins, RR have got zero margins for error.  A defeat in tomorrow’s fixture will put an end to their IPL 2019 journey. The Jaipur-based franchise face SRH, RCB & DC in the remainder of their games & they’ll certainly fancy their chances of accumulating 14 points. They’ve got able replacements in Oshane Thomas, Ashton Turner, Liam Livingstone & Ish Sodhi. Can RR achieve the unfathomable?

THE MIDDLE ORDER HAS TO CONTRIBUTE

Manish Pandey’s return to form was a breath of fresh air for the Orange Army. The stylish right-hander batted beautifully for his 83* off 49 deliveries. Kane Williamson will open the innings with David Warner. The left-hand right-hand combination will still remain intact. The likes of Vijay Shankar, Yusuf Pathan & Deepak Hooda will have to take more responsibility. The SRH middle order has barely scored runs this season. They’ve played one match less than the other teams & a win at RR’s fortress will be a mean task but not an impossible one. Who’ll rise higher for the Sunrisers?

MATCH DETAILS

WHERE: The Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur
WHEN: 27th April 2019
KICK-OFF TIME: 4:00 PM IST

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Sanju Samson scored a magnificent hundred at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, the last time these two teams met. SRH retaliated strongly, crossing the victory line with an over to spare. David Warner & Bairstow out 110 in 9.4 overs & SRH chased down 198 with extreme ease. SRH have also won the last 4 games between these two teams & lead the H2H contest by 6-4. At Jaipur, the teams have met only twice sharing one victory each. Who’ll win the toss & what should the winning skipper do?

PITCH CONDITIONS

Total matches played at the venue: 46
Games won batting 1st: 15
Matches won batting 2nd: 31
Average 1st innings score: 157
The boundaries are decently sized & with some big hitters out of this game, the onus of scoring big will rely on the Indian domestic cricketers. How much do you think is a par score at this venue?

TEAM NEWS

Sreevats Goswami or Wriddhiman Saha are the likely replacements for Bairstow. Nabi, Deepak Hooda & Yusuf Pathan are also possible options.
Rajasthan will miss 3 superstars but they’ve got the bowling department more or less covered. Oshane Thomas will steam in again & Varun Aaron after an impressive 2/20 will share the new ball with Thomas.

EXPECTED PLAYING XI

RAJASTHAN ROYALS

Ajinkya Rahane, Sanju Samson (wk), Steve Smith (c), Ashton Turner, Riyan Parag, Liam Livingstone, Stuart Binny, Shreyas Gopal, Varun Aaron, Oshane Thomas/Ish Sodhi, Jaydev Unadkat

SUNRISERS HYDERABAD

Kane Williamson(c), David Warner, Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Shakib Al Hasan, Shreevats Goswami/Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Deepak Hooda/Yusuf Pathan, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma/Siddharth Kaul, Khaleel Ahmed
